Policies
Arizona State University offers blog and wiki services (referred to as the "Services") in support
of personal, curricular, and scholarly communications conducted by the University community. These
Services are made available to any current faculty, student, or staff member of ASU subject to the
terms and conditions of use ("Terms") contained herein. By accessing, creating or contributing to
any blogs or wikis hosted at http://blog.asu.edu/ and
http://wiki.asu.edu/, and in consideration for the Services
we provide to you, you agree to abide by these Terms. Please read them carefully before posting
to or creating any blog or wiki.
Use of the Services is subject to all applicable Arizona State University policies and local,
state, and federal law. Applicable ASU policies include but are not limited to:
ASU's "Acceptable Use" policy includes, but is not limited to, the following points:
- Users must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and with the published policies of ASU and the Arizona State Board of Regents.
- Users must respect academic freedom and free speech rights.
- Users must respect the rights and privacy of others, including intellectual property rights.
- Unlawful communications, including threats of violence, obscenity, child pornography, and harassing communications, are prohibited.
- Use of ASU computer resources for private business or commercial activities, fund-raising or advertising on behalf of non-ASU organizations is prohibited. ASU Web pages may link to commercial Web sites, but any link that generates, or has the potential to generate, revenue to ASU or to any individual or company, including click trade or banner advertising, must be approved by Purchasing and Business Services.
